Natural Body Building
Like most people, I wondered about natural body building techniques and if that could really help me achieve the muscle gain I was looking for. Well, looking into ways to build muscle I found out that natural body building techniques are superior because they are healthier for you. The results are much safer without the risk of unwanted side effects.
You can expect results with natural body building approaching those achieved using steroids. A lot of it has to do with your state of mind: If you believe it, you can achieve it! You have to make a deliberate effort to stress the positive and avoid self-doubt. Take as an example Jeff Willetts, IFBB professional and super bodybuilder who was tested multiple times for steroid use and proven to be a totally natural bodybuilder.
He’s living proof that if you take the limits off what you think you can achieve, you can and will achieve your bodybuilding goals. Natural bodybuilding is a sport and can spill over into your lifestyle, helping you to gain self-discipline, motivation and determination to achieve your goals in other aspects of your life.
Granted, natural muscle building results will take longer and be slower than those who opt for chemical steroids which results in fast muscle growth. A lot has to do with your genetic makeup, natural hormone levels, your nutritional habits and your workout regime. Natural bodybuilders have more of a challenge facing them because they have to train a lot more, and do it in a very smart manner.
They also have to watch their food intake to get less dramatic results than those bodybuilders who use steroids. But that’s where self-discipline and determination comes in – and the gratifying knowledge that you’ve achieved your goals naturally.
There are definitely adverse consequences and unwanted side effects from using steroids. Some of the physical harm that steroids can inflict includes suppressed bone p growth, water and salt retention leading to high blood pressure, liver cysts and liver cancer, blood clotting disorders, as well as balding and severe acne on shoulders and back.
For boys, steroid use can result in low sperm count and testicular atrophy, cancer and prostate growth. For girls, steroid use can result in male hair growth, male pattern baldness, deepening of voice, irregular periods and potential birth defects. Need I say more to convince you that a natural bodybuilding routine is much better for you than opting for steroids and chemical enhancers?
What equipment would you need for natural bodybuilding?
First off, be sure you have high quality equipment so that you can maximize your efforts. You’ll need a good weight machine; one that’s adjustable to your height and body frame and will allow for natural body movement. A good weight machine will let you perform your exercises with the greatest range of motion possible. Dumbbells are probably your most important piece of equipment. Find a gym that has 2, 3, 4, 5, — 19, 20 kg dumbbells, increasing in steps of 1 kg, as well as 22, 24, 26, 28, — 48, 50 kg dumbbells, increasing in steps of 2 kg.
Another piece of equipment you’ll need is a flat/incline bench that’s stable and not too wide but will give you freedom to move during dumbbell presses. Further equipment that’s good to have includes a high pull-up bar and a parallel bar as well as a rowing machine, if possible.
I’m convinced that natural bodybuilding is the best and only way to go, I hope you are too!
